COMING OUT
Dear Gary,
Last night a friend of mine showed up for dinner in drag. We’ve been friends since I came out two years ago. I never even knew he was into drag. To me it was very obvious that “Joe” was male even though he was made up and wearing a dress. I like “Joe” a lot and he’s helped me a lot with my coming out but frankly it was kind of uncomfortable eating dinner in my town with a cross dresser that was obvious. I didn’t leave and made the best of what felt to me like an uncomfortable situation. Should I stay friends with him? Shouldn’t he have told me he was coming in drag? Is there something wrong with me or with him?
