Pet Dog Esther

Spending quality time with a dog, cat, or other animal can have a positive impact on your mood and your health. Pet owners tend to have lower blood pressure and lower levels of stress hormones. Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter wants to help you get healthy! The shelter’s missions are to provide exceptional care for homeless animals; to promote spaying/neutering, microchipping, and humane education; and to place homeless cats and dogs in permanent, loving homes.

Esther is a very cute and healthy 2-year old Boxer/Terrier mix. This young girl would love nothing more than to find a person or family that has as much energy as she does. She is super-friendly and loves to play with toys and run around the yard.

pets_meowMeowmalade is a very beautiful adult, female cat. She is timid at first and is looking for a kind, patient adopter who is experienced with cats and will earn her trust and help her gain more confidence. She absolutely loves snuggling with other cats, and she will become more social with her people once she knows she is in a calm environment. You are invited to meet this engaging, longhaired, orange tabby beauty queen!

All pets adopted from Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter will receive one free month of pet insurance.

Do you love animals, but you’re not in a position to adopt right now? You can still make a difference in a sweet animal’s life! Go down to Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter in East Hanover and choose a cat or dog to sponsor. For $20 per month, you can sponsor a pet and help pay for the cost of their care during their stay at the shelter. MPAS is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that is 100% funded through donations. (Incidentally, a recent study out of the University of British Columbia found that people who give to charity have healthier immune systems and generally feel less depressed and more optimistic. It’s a win win!)
