These adorable pets are waiting for a home

With more love for animals than financial resources, South Jersey Rescue began its journey more than 15 years ago. A “small but mighty” group of volunteers work out of their homes to find safe, loving environments for all the animals entrusted to their care. South Jersey Rescue has built a proud relationship with the local community, as well as with their adoptive families.

They are a charitable organization, and donations are tax deductible. Your donations will provide the food, litter, and quality medical care to the adoptable pets. Without the support of donors, these animals would not survive, but with financial help and the TLC from SJR’s volunteers, these animals are getting a second chance to find their forever families.

Meet Poppy! This little guy has been through so much already in his short life. Poppy has not had a permanent home since he was born, and cannot wait to find his perfect “furever family.” He is understandably a little afraid and shy at first, but warms up to be a very sweet and lovable boy.

Poppy is a mostly white pit bull. He’s about two-years old and 52 pounds. He is up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. This smart boy is also crate trained and has been doing very well with learning basic commands. Please consider meeting this handsome devil today!

Meet Pebbles! She is an adorable calico cat. The rescue group estimates that she is about two-years old. At eight pounds, she’s a just petite little lady. She gets along great with kids and other cats. (No word on how she might interact with dogs.) Pebbles is spayed, litter box trained, and perfectly healthy. Now all she needs is a family — and perhaps a few warm laps — to call her own.
