It’s a pandemic!!! Umm, maybe, maybe not. So let us talk about the “pandemic” that sweeping the globe known as swine flu.
First of all swine flu (H1N1) is a respiratory disease, caused by influenza type A which affects pigs. Just like any virus, the flu strain changes over time and has many different types associated with it. Until now it has not normally infected humans, but this strain has adapted and now through coughing and sneezing it has been able to be transferred to humans. Like any flu virus they are constantly in the air. At one point we probably have been so overly exposed to them that we created an immunity to this strain. But like anything, the virus has mutated to affect us once more.
