Old Bridge Animal Shelter is a municipally run organization with 80 animals looking for homes. The shelter provides stellar care for the animals and is a model for how township-run shelters should be. They truly care about their rescues and the shelter works closely with the town mayor and animal control to try and progress and continue to do better for the strays they receive.
“In the past, people thought we were a kill shelter, but we always try to upgrade ourselves to be better,” states Karen Chen, the shelter coordinator. “We also strive to educate the community on animal care.”
The shelter always tries to give the animals the best healthcare. It shows in the work they do that they do so much to try and better the lives of the animals until they find a true home. With many cats, dogs, and even some smaller animals available now, there’s a great chance you will find a new loving companion out at the Old Bridge shelter. There are many furry friends looking for a companion there now, so be sure to check them out!
