Every once in a while, an artist hits the scene that you know will be changing the game; The Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto, Jake Shears, lead singer of the Scissor Sisters and now Aiden Leslie. With a cool mix of R&B, infused with a healthy dose of dance-pop, Aiden is showing that he is a force to be reckoned with on the dance floors.

Here, he talks to Entertainment Editor Cookie about his single burning up the LOGO airwaves, opening up for a diva on the road this year, and his new single “Trying To Leave Now”
Aiden, thanks for taking the time to speak with me. Like me, you’re a child of some legendary New York City places; Palladium, Roxy, & Twilo. What do you miss the most about those times?
You recently appeared at Jersey Pride in Asbury Park, opening for Kristine W! How was that experience? What did you think of our fair city of Asbury Park? Performing in Asbury Park for Jersey Pride was an incredible experience, as I had never been before. There is so much music history tied to Asbury, so it was amazing to be there and do my own music. And of course, opening up for the queen herself was icing on the cake for me!
Every artist has a “wish list” of artists to work with. Who is on your list? Lenny Kravitz definitely; he’s a cool artist and has great writing ability! Also Andy Bell from Erasure, and definitely Madonna, without a doubt! A huge inspiration!
