Women’s Weekend NJ, Inc. has announced it will host The Women’s Weekend NJ Golf Classic Fundraiser an exciting day of fun on September 21, 2014 at Twin Brook Golf Course.
There will truly be something for everyone at this event. For the experienced golfer, there will be a nine hole Golf Tournament, played by foursomes, with a shotgun start. For the golf-interested novice, there will be a Golf Clinic taught by LPGA National Coach of the Year, Michele Melia. And for those attendees just interested in a little fun, there is a lovely 18 hole miniature golf course, where attendees can either enter into a mini golf tournament, or just play for fun.
There will also be other contests, prizes and awards. After golfing, there will be a delicious BBQ dinner, and live musical entertainment by ViRAGO. Cash bar will be available all day as well.
This Golf event and other fundraisers between now and next year in the Asbury Park and Ocean Grove area are all centrally located at the Jersey Shore in Monmouth County, Asbury Park has a long arts and cultural history, and has been a mecca for the LGBT community and Pride celebrations and events for over 30 years. It features one of the best beaches in the state, along with a revitalized boardwalk and a lively downtown area filled with unique shops and eclectic LGBT-owned/friendly restaurants.
Right next door, is Ocean Grove, a beautiful shore town filled with gorgeous Victorian homes and a quaint downtown area.
All events for this Fundraiser take place at Twin Brook Golf Course in Tinton Falls, NJ. Located about 9 miles from Asbury Park, Twin Brook offers a 9 hole par 3 course that is a challenge to even the seasoned golfer, with the distance between holes ranging from 100 to 180 yards. Cost is $75 per person and includes a welcome package, entry into the tournament, miniature golf, golf clinic, silent auction, BBQ dinner, and live entertainment by ViRAGO. All proceeds will go toward funding Women’s Weekend NJ, which will take place in the Fall of 2015.
Women’s Weekend NJ, Inc. is a non-profit organization which supports NJ women-owned businesses and provides education and support for issues that impact women in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. With a dedication to celebrating the history, culture, achievements, and diversity of women. Women’s Weekend NJ will be offering an annual weekend getaway for women starting in 2015, in Asbury Park and Ocean Grove.
