Online and in the April-May issue of the magazine “The world Outside New Jersey” tells about the effort to help activists in the U.K. prevent the deportation of Mahdi Kazemi, a 19 year old gay Iranian student back to Iran and certain death, following the expiration of his student visa. Since press time there have been more developments. Mahdi was returned to the U.K. from Holland, briefly interviewed by immigration at Heathrow and released to stay with his Uncle in London. The new hearing on the deportation order is yet to happen but he has legal counsel.
