BOOK REVIEW
This is a book that can do a lot of good – a whole lot. It is a book for anyone with issues about coming out of the closet whether they are young people, family members or friends. This collection of 25 individual accounts of coming to terms with homosexuality presents the unvarnished words of gay kids who have had to find the strength to be real, of straights who have had to examine their own misconceptions when confronted by the true self of someone close and even of the experience of being adopted by a gay man.
The points of view and the experiences are highly varied but the theme of openness, acceptance and the validity of love pervades the entire book.
