McCarter’s annual production of the Charles Dickens classic is an eye filling spectacular that clearly cost a fortune to stage. The SRO opening night crowd, packed to the historic theater’s rafters, responded with unrestrained enthusiasm. Let’s be very clear about that – the crowd loved this show and that is the most important factor.
