The next time you are in Lambertville, NJ, head over to their newest coffee shop, Union Coffee. Their sign says Union Coffee and “good things,” which is exactly what you will find inside.

No stranger to the restaurant industry, Owner Carolyn Gadbois decided to open her own café this spring. After renovating the space in downtown Lambertville, Union Coffee opened its doors.

Stepping inside, you will find a modern industrial feel with clean lines and plenty of natural light. The far wall serves as an art gallery, and through the month of June, they are featuring artwork by LGBTQ artists in honor of Pride. Carolyn said she was so happy to hang the Pride flag outside and to be part of the community. Their website says, “For our inaugural art show, we’ve decided to honor the LGBTQ+ community for the work they’ve done to weave inclusion and diversity into the fabric of our lives.”

You can enjoy the artwork while enjoying a drink or a treat. They have a great selection of hot and cold brews and house-made syrups. If you like Chai, the iced Chai Latte is a summertime winner. I highly recommend the Tropical Smoothie with a mix of pineapple, banana, and mango for the smoothie lover.

With locally sourced food, you can find great bakery treats by Factory Girl Bake Shop, quiches and soups from the Peasant Grill, and more. They also make a great avocado toast on multigrain bread. You can place your order online if you are pressed for time.

If you need a gift (or one for yourself), stop by the back of the store. You will find a sweet surprise of a nook filled with cards, candles, totes, Union Coffee gear, and more.

Whether you are reading a book or writing one, grab a table at Union Coffee and enjoy all they have to offer. They are open 7 days a week from 7am – 5pm.
