United Methodist Camp Meeting Association fights to stop Civil Unions
Harriet Bernstein and Luisa Paster thought that their Oceanside hometown was the perfect place for their Civil Union ceremony. After residing in Ocean Grove for a while, they did not expect the political and legal firestorm that followed their request for the ceremony to be held in the Boardwalk Pavilion. The Pavilion after all is perfect. It is where many couples have weddings almost every summer weekend. But Ocean Grove is not like any other seaside town in Monmouth County. The Camp Meeting Association owns the entire town.
