SHOW REVIEW

The Tony award winning musical 42nd Street closed on February 7th at the Ritz Theater, in Haddon Township to a packed house, and a well deserved standing ovation. 42nd Street is about a young sexy starlet, Peggy Sawyer from Allentown, PA who will do “anything” to be a star, played brilliantly by Catherine Logan. When the aging starlet, Dorothy Brock, seductively played by Rebecca Flint, breaks her ankle, Peggy is thrust from chorus girl to leading lady, by Julian Marsh the shows director played by the charming Michael Doheny. Though Peggy doesn’t feel ready for the part, she preservers, and saves the show. There is a message of hope, which in these troubled times, reminds us that perseverance and hope always prevail.
