“A Change of Position” is a solid comedic gem

Allen Neuner -
This is a dramatic theatrical photograph depicting a family gathering indoors. Five actors in period clothing are positioned on a stage set that resembles a furnished living room with a red patterned rug. In the center, a woman in a royal blue velvet jacket and a long red embroidered skirt is seated, holding a teacup and saucer, looking ahead with a serious expression. Standing behind her to the left is a young woman in a deep red dress with a highly decorated gold headpiece, also holding a cup. To the woman's right, a tall man in a blue shirt with suspenders and pinstripe trousers is standing, holding a cup. Seated to the far left is a man in a vest and white shirt, seen in profile, and seated to the far right is another man in a sweater vest, white shirt, and dark trousers, looking to the left. The background features a dark wall, a doorway, and a mantel with two lit candles.
