Because of its proximity to New Jersey, one of the best ways to get there is via the Cape May – Lewes Ferry (www.capemaylewesferry.com) which goes directly to Lewes, DE, complete with water views,  and an occasional visit from a school of dolphins.

Rehoboth Beach Blue MoonThere is something to do every night of the week. It is a great place for LGBT travel and tourists. An example of that is Blue Moon (www.bluemoonrehoboth.com) which is directly in the center of Rehoboth. Every summer night is a true event, but the fall and winter nights are just as fun, with tasting Tuesdays, Karaoke and Martinis, and spotlight shows featuring the finest female impersonators on the East Coast. When your weekend is coming to a close, top Sundays off with an award-winning brunch from10:30am to 2pm.

Any mention of the Blue Moon would simply be unfair without pointing out the fabulous restaurant on site. Dinner is served every day of the week in an intimate setting beginning each afternoon at5pm. The food is top notch, and is only matched by the service. A personal favorite is the Crispy Skin Virginia Rockfish, prepared to perfection by head chef Lion Gardner.

Rehoboth Beach crowd at the Aqua GrillIf you’re looking for a pure night of unadulterated dance floor insanity, the place to be is DIVE, when Stephen Durkin heads up his MANdance party. A legendary DJ direct from Philadelphia, Durkin brings out the best in the boys of Rehoboth on the dance floor. Playing not only the classic hits and the newer mixes, he tosses in some of his patented “Stephen Durkin remixes” definitely giving a fresh take to some classic tracks.

One of the best parts about MANdance is after you’ve watched the go-go boys and sweated it up on the dance floor, you can head outside for a quick cocktail or chat with a new friend on the enclosed patio. Many were concerned that after the Double LL left Rehoboth that would be the end of MANdance. Keep an eye on the Saturdaynight schedule at DIVE; when you see that MANdance is happening, it’s the place to head to. DiveBar (Formally the Double L Bar ) is located at 37298 Rehoboth Ave.

Rehoboth Beach Big SissieslogoFor a lower key vibe, stop on over to Big Sissie’s, (www.bigsissies-rehoboth.com) which is the perfect pre-party spot or a great way to finish off an already amazing evening. The crowd is always warm and inviting, and the karaoke crowd is consistently lively. The amazing John Flynn plays piano on the weekends. Something you don’t want to miss is the occasional surprise duets with audience members! Check the website for a schedule.

The food at Big Sissie’s has a vast selection, from pub food like burgers and fries, to dinner entrees like their amazing homemade meatloaf. They also have a fantastic SundayBrunch that always brings in the crowd.

Aqua Bar & Grill (www.aquagrillrehoboth.com) is a premier spot in Rehoboth Beach. They have cornered the market on happy hour, which seems to be more packed every weekend. They have a plethora of gorgeous and friendly men walking around with their cocktail trays (and little else) to serve your cocktail needs. They offer a fantastic menu, so if you’re looking for a quick bite definitely pop in for one of their signature burgers or salads. The drinks are strong, and the staff is friendly, keeping many coming back season after season.
