The Southern New Jersey LGBT community will come together for the 9th Annual Pride Celebration at Cooper River Park in Cherry Hill from noon to 6pm on Sunday.
For nine years the Southern New Jersey LGBTQA Pride Committee takes this time to educate our community on prominent issues. The emphasis this year is anti-bullying. The event is sponsored by CCM and Comcast.
South Jersey’s own award-winning productions & entertainment company Josh Schonewolf Presents will run the stage. Celebrity guest appearances in 2017 will include: Kemar Jewel, Otis Pena, Amber Hikes, Carl Max as Whitney Houston, Rasta Boi Punany, former Mr. Philadelphia Gay Pride, Manny Lovett, Mr. T, DJ Deluxx, Ginger Alley, and more to be announced.
South Jersey Pride expects hundreds of individuals and families, and community organizations to attend. Visitors range from 16 to well over 65 and many singles and couples will be bringing their younger children to this very family-friendly event in the park. Southern New Jersey LGBTQA Pride is the only LGBT pride in Southern New Jersey.
The festival will be held in Cooper River Park, North Park Drive – near the Victims of Terrorism memorial. Vendors, games, and entertainment will be provided and the event is free and open to the public.
