HIV/AIDS Program approved by Congress and Obama Administration
October 31, 2009 – President Obama extended the Ryan White program for another four years. The program is the largest federal program that provides assistance to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. The Ryan White program was first enacted in 1990.
"We can’t give Ryan White back to Jeanne, back to his mom. But what we can do – what the legislation that I’m about to sign has done for nearly 20 years – is honor the courage that he and his family showed," Obama continued,
