SHOW REVIEW – VI Degrees
This is a riveting drama about the lives of nine African-American characters and how they are affected by the HIV epidemic. VI Degrees delves into topics like infidelity, denial, deception, living “on the DL” and ethical issues such as: should a HIV + mother disclose her status to her partner? “How do I disclose to my partner my status?”
The play at the Adrienne Theatre in Philadelphia in September centered on the protagonist Solomon (Nell Carr), who I might add is quite beautiful, and his conflicts with monogamy, marriage and sexual orientation.
