On Nov. 5 you will be heading to the polls to cast one of the most important votes of your life. The LGBTQ community, in a sense, is on the ballot, so this should not be a hard one.
On one side we have liars spreading divisiveness and false narratives from the past. Republicans say “Make America great again.” Really? And for whom? They denigrate and divide based on insults and lies.
On the Democratic side they have serious talking points. They have good ideas on moving forward to a brighter future with more freedom and more respect for all Americans. Given the choice of going back to what America used to be, or going forward to what it may become, is an easy decision.
The Republicans are out of touch. Meanwhile, the Democrats are looking ahead to a bright future. We may not all get there together; we may not get there at all. But at least we will be given a chance and able to make our own individual choices without interference. We will have a chance for a better life for ourselves and for those we love and care for.
So, as you go to the ballot box this November see the contrast. Do you want a future of possibilities and freedom to make your own choices, or do you want to return to the past? Do you want the possibility of a good happy life ahead, or do you want more of the same lies and division? Do you want the freedom to move forward, or do you want to be pushed into the closet and backward?
Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris is clearly the candidate who will continue moving the country forward. Because “we are not going back!”
For U.S. Senate, the Republicans put a gay man on the ballot in the Garden State, but he does not represent the full values of the LGBTQ community. The Democrat Andy Kim is the clear choice.
In congressional and local races, any candidate that is not a Democrat will not fully represent the values of individual freedom, choice and civil rights. The other side will only bring the country more problems, more lies, and more division. Be sure to vote your full ballot!
On Nov. 5 vote, for liberty, choice, and freedom.
