Judge Vaughn Walker has ruled that under California state law that so-called Prop 8 is unconstitutional. Prop 8 disallowed any same-sex marriages in California after the state courts ruled such marriages legal. This case will be taken to the Supreme Court, say antigay opponents that supported the Prop 8 ban. It is not known when same-sex couples will be able to marry again in California.
