Pink Martini—One Night Only Friday at Scottish Rite Auditorium

In 1994, Thomas Lauderdale was thinking about running for office in his hometown of Portland Oregon. He went to many political events and found the music at these functions were lackluster and underwhelming.

He turned his eye towards another passion, music, and formed the “little orchestra” Pink Martini to provide more beautiful and inclusive musical soundtracks for political fundraisers for causes such as civil rights, funding for libraries, and public broadcasting. Over the last 25 years, they have performed all over the world in many different languages, have collaborated with numerous artists including Rufus Wainwright, Phillis Diller, and Doc Severinson and graced the television stages of Letterman, Leno, and Conan.

“Pink Martini is a rollicking around-the-world musical adventure… if the United Nations had a house band in 1962; hopefully we’d be that band.”—Thomas Lauderdale, bandleader/pianist.

On Friday night, Oct 25, 2019, Pink Martini is performing at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood. Don’t miss this ONE NIGHT ONLY performance!
