Nearly 40 Years of LGBT Activism
I know my stereotypical PFLAG mom – like Debbie Novotny (actress Sharon Gless) from Queer As Folk, with a vest chock full of pro-LGBT flair, she’s loud and very proud of her gay son. Surprisingly, the reality is just as appealing. PFLAG is a safe, supportive space for straight allies to discuss their LGBT friends and family members. Started in 1973, PFLAG is one of the oldest and most successful LGBT rights groups in the US.
