Michael Zam, who is currently penning the stage adaptation of Bob Smith’s novel Selfish & Perverse, recently enjoyed the success of the Off-Broadway hit The Kid. The play was based on author Dan Savage’s memoir of the same name. During it’s run in May, Zam along with his collaborators were honored with BMI’s Jerry Bock Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theater. Zam teaches screenwriting at NYU.
