North Jersey Pride Festival stresses family fun throughout the day
The North Jersey Pride Festival is this Sunday, June 9, 2019 form 12 noon-6pm. It will be in it’s 9th year and held at the Memorial Park Amphitheater, in Maplewood, NJ. It has been at this incredible and beautiful park space for eighth years now. This is a family-friendly LGBT Pride festival too. So bring the entire family!
Admission is free thanks to the generosity of the many corporate sponsors that North Jersey Pride has been able to gather over the last nine years of festivals. C.J. Prince is proud of the North Jersey LGBT Pride Festival and it’s phenomenal growth over the last nine years.
On stage will be many local and national talent and organizers stress it is all family-friendly. The vendor court will include more than 100 vendors selling jewelry, art, crafts, clothing, and of course, plenty of rainbow gear. Plus many nonprofits that advocate on behalf of the LGBT community will be in attendance with information and plenty of ideas on how to be more Out In Jersey.
The five-star food court will include an eclectic buffet of delicious cuisine from local culinary artisans. The cuisine includes Thai, Italian, Vegan, Mexican, New American, Ethiopian and more. Plus there is always dessert, with plenty of baked goods, frozen treats and lemonade and drinks.
The Rainbow Kids Zone is what makes North Jersey Pride special say organizers. They always have an expansive and fun-for-all-ages kids area with fun inflatables for toddlers, challenging obstacle courses for older kids and giant slides for everyone. The kids will love the interactive Kids Stage featuring a new and exciting show every hour on the hour. The goal is to keep the kids so busy so as to not bother you for hours!
Come with a blanket or some beach chairs, spread out on the lawn, and enjoy a day of fun, family and celebration at North Jersey Pride. And please say hi to Steve and Peter at the Out In Jersey magazine display tent.
