An estimated 200,000 people gathered together in solidarity on Sunday, October 11, 2009 in Washington D.C. to inform their President that they are sick of being treated like second class citizens. The sea of people on the capital was the largest protest of gays and gay supporters for over a decade. Issues such as Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT), and the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) seemed to be at the forefront of everyone’s mind and the main topic of the day.

People carrying protest signs went on as far as the eye could see.
