Here is the current list of vigils and remembrance events planned in New Jersey to help bring attention to LGBT youth suicide and prevention efforts. We will add to this list as events are added locally.
The events are in remembrance of Rutgers Freshmen Tyler Clementi who committed suicide last week in response to a Twitter iChat video being broadcast on the internet by his dorm roommate. The live internet feed was of Tyler making out with another man in what he thought was the privacy of his dorm room. He jumped off of the George Washington Bridge a few days later.
