New Hope Celebrates LGBTQ Pride update

New Hope Celebrates raised its 25-foot Rainbow Equality flag
New Hope Celebrates Board still raised its 25-foot Rainbow Equality flag atop the Delaware House on May 8, 2020 in keeping with a long-standing tradition.

The Pride Parade from Lambertville to New Hope is postponed until next year

The New Hope Celebrates LGBTQ Pride will be celebrating a little differently this year. Last year most events were cancelled and this year will be many smaller events and some virtual offerings. Instead of a large LGBTQ Pride parade, NHC will be planning events people can safely experience throughout May and June.

The Parade is postponed until next year. The organizers said you may visit to sign yourself up for the 2022 parade and festival scheduled for May 13-15, 2022. You may also find out about all the smaller events happening this year on the website.

NHC will have Pride-filled joy with the Annual Best Cocktail Contest this month plus the May 8th NHC Annual Flag Unfurling. There are also several Drag Shows, a book club event, mental health events, cocktail socials, a Pride bike ride, a Pride drive-in movie, and even more coming in June.

You can learn more at and follow NHC on instagram and facebook. NHC encourages all participants to wear masks, social distance and support local businesses throughout the celebration this year.
