Three years ago, amberRose Marie was working part time as a cosmetologist while struggling to get her voice heard. After a trip to L.A. and winning a contest to record with former popstar Nick Lachey, she thought she was about to hit the big time. She got the short end of the stick, but by late 2008 she had her first Top 20 Billboard dance hit with “Destiny.” A year later, she made her way onto the charts again with the power anthem “Wanna Be A DJ,” which stayed on the charts and relevant into 2010.
