HPC says Bisogno is leaving to have some personal time
The Chief Executive at Hudson Pride Connections in Jersey City will be moving on. The news came suddenly today in an email from the Board of Trustees at HPC. Bisogno was the organizations CEO for the past two years.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Michael “Billy” Bisogno will be moving on,” an email from the Hudson Pride Connections said. “Michael has served as the Chief Executive Officer for the last two years and we thank him for his contribution and efforts. Under his leadership, the center has created strategic partnerships that have increased LGBTQ healthcare services and programming as well as provided a persistent voice for our community. We wish Michael continued success in his future endeavors as he takes some personal time. We know that he will continue to tirelessly advocate for the LGBTQ community.”
The position of CEO will not be filled according to Elizabeth Schedl who is the COO of HPC. “More details may be released in a few days,” said Schedl. She stressed the organization will continue to operate with the remaining staff.
The email went out to all the HPC’s supporters and allies. It went on to thank all of the organizations supporters and made a promise to continue to thrive. It has been 25 years since the beginning of HPC. The email stressed its long history, and then said, “The journey has been both challenging yet rewarding. Today we stand proud with a strong board and staff that look like the community we serve. As we continue to reorganize HPC, we will keep you updated on our progress.”
