Pets at Voorhees Animal Shelter

Spencer is a 9-year old male, but don’t tell him that. This handsome Australian cattle dog mix keeps up with the youngsters! He is a fun and confident dog. He will do best in a household with adults and a fenced-in yard. Spencer likes walking with other dogs, and may enjoy a doggy play date here and there, but he would do best as the only dog at home. Spencer was surrendered to a local shelter after his family could no longer care for him. He is housebroken, has good manners, and is neutered. With daily exercise and a quieter home environment, Spencer will settle into his new life easily. Please consider adopting a senior dog – they still have so much love to give!

Selena the cat
Selena is in good health. She loves scratches, sitting on the couch, and bird watching at the window.

Selena (pictured right) is a 3-year old FIV+ beauty who was sadly surrendered by her owner for reasons beyond their control. Despite her FIV+ status, Selena has remained in good health. She loves scratches, sitting on the couch, and bird watching at the window. She is not a picky eater, has neat litter box manners, and is spayed. Unfortunately, Selena is becoming stressed at the shelter and needs to be adopted as soon as possible. She prefers to be the only pet in the household. If you believe in second chances, please consider giving one to this sweet girl. Her adoption fee is only $10.

(Feline Immunodeficiency Virus [FIV] is a slow-acting virus that weakens a cat’s immune system. It can make a cat susceptible to various secondary infections, but some cats still live long lives without any symptoms. Although Selena prefers to be your only pet, most FIV+ cats can live perfectly well with other cats.)
