We live in a society where almost anything goes. Traditional boundaries have been broken and people are a lot more accepting today than they used to be. One of the last boundaries broken was monogamy, something that’s no longer seen as the norm. Polyamorous relationships are when a person is involved with two or more romantic partners. Many members of the LGBTQ community are involved in polyamorous relationships as are many heterosexual folks.
Here we will discuss and explore borderless love, explaining how barriers blocking LGBTQ and polyamorous lovers no longer exist, ensuring they can live fulfilling and happy lives out in the open.

Sexual Freedom
One of the main reasons that people are able to love without borders and restrictions is because we live in a society where there is significant sexual freedom. You can love and have sex with whoever you want. If joining either the LGBTQ or the poly communities interests you, take some time to do your research.
It is important that you are polite, respectful, and educate yourself about what makes these communities different today than how they were several decades ago. For example, there are permissible and impermissible terms and phrases you need to learn. There are also names used to describe specific people and their roles within these communities, like metamour, which refers to one’s partner’s partner in the poly community. Educating yourself about terminology relevant to the particular community you want to join can help you avoid offending anybody and also allow you to integrate more easily.

More Accepting
People are told from a very young age today that it’s unacceptable to mistreat people because of their beliefs or protected characteristics. Everybody should be treated as equal in society, within reason. Innocuous things such as homosexuality or an interest in polyamory are no reason to judge or exclude a person.
In the past, people were commonly mistreated because of their beliefs and sexual inclinations. Such behavior is no longer allowed. If a person is mistreated, then they can report the guilty party to the authorities. Make sure that you notify law enforcement if you have been mistreated due to protected characteristics you hold. The same goes if you have seen anybody else be mistreated or treated unfairly.
Personal Expression
People today are a lot more accepting of things that are foreign to them than they were in the past. And we’re told it’s important to respect other people’s self-expression. In the past, if somebody expressed themselves in a way that was not considered ‘normal’ then they sometimes were excluded from society. Thanks to massive social upheaval and changes that took place in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, you can express yourself in many more ways without being judged. You will also be protected by the government and authorites.
Love knows no boundaries. It’s important to love who you love without fear of ridicule or punishment. And today society allows you to love whoever you want without having to worry about being attacked or punished. Work does still need to be done, but the world’s a much nicer place to live for LGBTQ and poly people now.
