Right Wing Conservatives Ignoring the Facts
Fox news and conservatives in the media are on a witch-hunt; the hunted is Kevin Jennings, the director of the Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools in Washington D.C. With Fox News at the helm, the right wing have claimed that 21 years ago Kevin Jennings a 24 year old teacher at Concord Academy in Massachusetts covered up statutory rape by not reporting to authorities that a student had told him he was involved with an “older man”.
The former student was 16 years old at the time, which is and was the legal age of consent at the time he had the conversation with Jennings, and has been confirmed by Media Matters and various other news organizations.
