Gayborhood Jersey City and Hudson Pride Center host the Jersey City LGBT Pride Festival 2018 on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, 1-9 pm, in the historic downtown neighborhood. The Festival will take place on Newark Avenue between Grove Street and Jersey Avenue.

The festival, the annual premier LGBT event in Hudson County and the second largest in the state, celebrates the diversity of the LGBT communities and its allies in northern New Jersey. In 2014, the Jersey City gay community and allies had the best year ever with Jersey City ranked as one of the top ten cities in the U.S. for LGBTs. The official estimate of attendance at last year’s Pride Festival was north of 14,000. It is also the second largest LGBT festival in the state.

Organizers stress the events of Pride season exemplify the strength and growth of the LGBT and allied communities. The festival will include Pride Festival activities throughout Jersey City this week. For updates on the Jersey City LGBT Pride Festival and all  the events check the website jerseycitypride.com.
