The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) was granted consultative status in a vote by the full United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)in New York City. The vote for IGLHRC, by a US-led resolution, is the tenth organization working primarily for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) human rights to gain such status at the United Nations.
