The Feds proposed changes for short-term visas for individuals living with HIV/AIDS

The U.S. is among the only 13 countries that ban travel for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Other countries from the same group include Iraq, China, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Sudan. In order to attend certain events in the U.S. (for example UNGASS or the Gay Games), travelers can obtain a blanket visa waiver for the duration of the respective events. The process is usually a lengthy and complicated one.
