Homelessness advocate to face new charges due to case dismissal

On July 30, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance reportedly called the attorney for Kate Barnhart, head of New Alternatives, an LGBT organization, to inform him that she and her co-defendant, Joan Pleune, should surrender for re-arrest on previously dismissed charges. The charges were criminal trespass and obstructing government administration.
