Garden State Equality will hold its annual “Equality Walk” on Saturday, June 21 in Montclair. The theme will be ‘Taking Steps to Protect our Future,’ which organizers say reflects an emphasis on strengthening our recent wins in anti-bullying and marriage equality, while continuing to push for protections for LGBT youths, seniors and the transgender community.
As GSE’s biggest yearly event, the “Walk” attracts many supporters each year. and this is the 5th annual event. GSE is looking to bring some new folks to join the walk or support the walkers this year. As an incentive anyone who raises $300 or more will receive a free t-shirt. Plus organizers say additional prizes, and details will be announced shortly.The walk takes place at 4pm at Erie Park in Montclair, NJ on SDaturday June 21.
