GSE’s Equality Ball in Asbury Park is sold out in advance

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is the guest speaker

Garden State Equality will be holding the Equality Ball on Friday, June 1, 2018. It is their largest annual fundraising event. This year’s Ball is sold out! Organizer’s at GSE are ecstatic about this years event. The Asbury Hotel will host at the newly-renovated Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park, NJ.

In 2017, GSE raised tens of thousands of dollars. And this year’s ball will be bigger and better for fundraising efforts due to the sold out the event. Over 400 guests will meet and greet New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy the guest speaker. The co-hosts for the evening are David Bowd of Salt Hotels and Zak Karim with Bank of America, both members of GSE’s Board.

Gold level sponsors are the Salt Hotels (Asbury Hotel’s corporate owner) and Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment. Silver level sponsors include RWJ/Barnabas Health, Asbury Park Press, Atlantic Health, and Tito’s Vodka. There are 16 Bronze-level sponsors. Out In Jersey magazine is a media sponsor.

GSE to honor community leaders and corporate leaders

GSE will honor Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, as the recipient of the Corporate Responsibility Award. Other honorees are Asbury Park High School students MyLeah Estes and Tyler Lanno. They are the recipients of this year’s Student Leader Awards.

Funds raised at Equality Ball 2018 will support GSE in the areas of policy, education, and health. It is New Jersey’s largest LGBT organization and advocates and develops programs and initiatives to serve the community.
