The Idea Came from a Straight Student
Due to recent heart-wrenching events in the LGBT community, Gay/Straight Alliances have been receiving more and more media attention. GSA’s are an essential part of a compassionate response to anti-LGBT violence. According to the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), the first GSA was started when a straight student proposed the club idea to her gay teacher.
