GLBT Help Center Marks Anniversary

The GLBT National Help Center commemorates its 10th anniversary of service to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning community by expanding the hours of one of its primary hotline programs and expanding the name of the other.

Effective immediately, the GLBT National Youth Talkline will operate Monday through Friday, from 5pm to 9pm, Pacific time—almost double the hours it operated on weeknights in the past. The Youth Talkline is the only national hotline of its type and scope, and is geared specifically for callers ages 25 and younger. The toll-free phone number for the Youth Talkline is 1-800-246-PRIDE.

At the same time, the Help Center’s other main program, the Gay & Lesbian National Hotline will change its name to the GLBT National Hotline, to more fully reflect its mission of serving the entire gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
