LGBT groups say “It’s the children that suffer the most.”
A rally held today at the New Jersey State Capitol in Trenton by Garden State Equality countered the Jersey stop of the National Organization for Marriage’s multistate tour. NOM had rallied some 30 to 40 supporters on the Statehouse front steps. At the same time, GSE Chair Steven Goldstein introduced the pro-marriage-equality indoor rally as a “people’s hearing.” The GSE event packed the Capitol Annex’s Committee Room 6 with about 200 supporters for LGBT equality.
