We Are Everywhere at Jersey City Free Public Library
August 13, 2021 – 9:00PM to 10:00PM
A Pride exhibit featuring 8 local queer artists, each displaying the original design’s eight colored stripes created by Gilbert Baker. Using color to establish meaning, Baker conceived a flag that would empower his “tribe” and a “rainbow of humanity” motif to represent the community’s diversity. He assigned symbolic meaning to each of the flag’s eight colored stripes.
