Read Across America: Pride On The Page Launch Party at Watchung Booksellers in Montclair

Out Montclair, Families is launching “Pride on the Page” to ensure LGBTQIA+ inclusive books are in schools, libraries, and daycares.
The book-banning effort in Glen Ridge reinforced the importance of ensuring accurate and inclusive representation in all educational spaces.
We’re raising awareness among parents and schools about the existence of books about LGBTQIA+ people and families, increasing the visibility of LGBTQIA+ people in our community, and creating a foundation of recognition, acceptance, and safety for every student and their families, as well as teachers and school staff.
