QTBIPOC Reality TV Watchers at The Pride Center of NJ in Highland Park
Every Sunday – 7:45PM – 9:30PM
The Pride Center of New Jersey, 85 Raritan Ave., Suite 100, Highland Park, NJ
Join the QTBIPOC-inclusive reality TV watch group! They meet weekly on Sundays to watch episodes, talk strategy, react to the drama, and share plenty of hot takes. Whether you’re a longtime reality TV fan or a newer viewer, you’re welcome to join in for a fun, in-person watch party and connect with other QTBIPOC community members.
This group is intentionally created by and for QTBIPOC (Queer and/or Trans Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) individuals.
You must identify as *both* LGBTQIA2S+ *and* BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color)/PGM (People of the Global Majority). White allies can explore the PCNJ program calendar for other groups and programs. The group is facilitated by Sam (they/them) a Black ace-spec lesbian.
Please arrive by 7:45 PM so they can begin with introductions, including names, pronouns, and a fun icebreaker, before viewing begins. Meetings typically end around 9:30 PM, though the end time may vary depending on episode length. Name tags are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own snacks.
They ask everyone to help maintain a welcoming community by respecting one another and refraining from exclusionary or anti-LGBTQIA2S+ rhetoric, hate speech, slurs, or racist and other discriminatory or degrading comments.
A suggested $5 donation helps support the Pride Center, but any amount is appreciated. (Venmo: PrideCenter-ofNJ)
