Online Event: Charles Busch’s “Vampire Lesbians of Sodom” Online Reading
Take two immortal vampire lesbians locked in eternal, yet comical, battle royal. Mix campy, old Hollywood sensibility with satirical tone and you get a show filled with outrageous lines, harmless depravity, and loads of laughs. VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM is the cult show which in the small East Village club known as the Limbo Lounge back in 1984, would spawn the Theatre in Limbo acting troupe and the career of the one and only Charles Busch. Busch would go on to write and star in numerous shows afterword, most notably The Tale Of The Allergist’s Wife and The Divine Sister.
VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM is directed by and stars George Seylaz, who also helmed Busch’s The Divine Sister for NLT’s 2018-2019 season. The show also stars Debra Carozza Shane Long, Sean Lough, Nick Pascarella, Franco Pedicini, and Gina Sarno.
