Kids, families, adults of all ages, & all our friends & allies are invited for a fun & engaging extraordinary event featurin’ the fabulous Carrie Dragshaw hostin’ her very first DQSH!
Drag Queen Story Hour helps children learn about gender diversity, promotes self-acceptance, & builds empathy through stories & songs & helps to curb bullying of LGBTQIA youth.
Proudly presented by the Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice as a community fund & friend-raiser.
This extraordinary event will directly support our new impactful initiative, the BRCSJ Defenders of the Right To Read, which under the strong leadership of our Center’s award-winnin’ Librarian-in-Residence Martha Hickson & the equally inspirational Andrea Caporale, combats censorship, battles book-banning, keeps free people readin’ freely in these difficult times for our schools, libraries, & in the greater community esp. for our queer kids.
