Gayborhood Jersey City will host the 20th Annual Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival on Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 from 1-9PM. The theme for this year is: There Is No Place Like Jersey City: Celebrating 20 Years Of Helping To Create A Safer, More Inclusive And Diverse Home For Out LGBTQ+ Community. The Festival will take place on Newark Avenue between Grove Street and Jersey Avenue in the heart of historic downtown Jersey City. The Festival is adjacent to major mass transportation: PATH to Grove Street, and locally by bus lines 1, 119, 64.
The Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival celebrates the diversity of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities and allies of Hudson County and the New York City metropolitan area. Last year the official estimate of attendance at the festival was 20,000 attendees. The Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival is recognized not only as the premier LGBTQ+ event in Hudson County, but also one of the largest festivals in the Northern New Jersey region. The events of Pride season exemplify the strength and growth of our LGBTQ+ & allied communities.
