D.C. Votes yes for same-Sex Marriage
Washington, DC – December 1, 2009 The DC city council voted in favor of same sex marriage. The vote was 11 – 2 with Councilman Marion Barry and Councilwoman Yvette Alexander, voting against same-sex marriage.
Openly gay Councilman David Catania sponsored the bill, and the final vote will go to Mayor Adrian Fentyhas later this month who said
