New York City Mayor Bloomberg recognizes LGBT youth problem

Speaking at the annual benefit for the Ali Forney Center on Oct. 5, Mayor Bloomberg announced the formation of a 25member commission that will specifically address the needs of homeless and at-risk LGBT youth in New York. Estimates of the number of homeless queer youth in the city have ranged as high as 8,000.
