Chelsea March galvinized the queer community

625

In the clear, brisk evening of October 9, hundreds of people of all ages and varieties gathered at 26th Street and 9th Avenue in New York for Queer Rising’s march through Chelsea to the historic landmark, The Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street, scene of the famous Stonewall Riots of 1969. The march was to demand equality now and to focus attention on the recent hate crimes that have galvanized the queer community.
